My Memories - 7 Days of Software Giveaways - Day 3

Today I want to send out a special welcome to those of you joining us for the "7 Days of Software Giveaways - My Memories" Blog Hop, hosted by Melinda over at 28 Peppermint Grove!

It is Day 3 and my turn to introduce you to some AWESOME scrapbooking software...My Memories Suite v.4, by Story Rock.

Now, if you've never heard of it or tried it, this is your chance to join in the fun and checkout all the cool things you can do with this software, and possibly win a free copy for yourself!

There are so many projects you can do using this software, the possibilities are almost limitless!

You are not limited to just "scrapbooking"...You can make all of the following (and MORE!) using this software:

• Greeting Cards
• Calendars
• Photobooks
• Party Invitations (see the one's I made here and also here)
• iPhone & Laptop Skins
• Photo Apparel
• Tags & Stickers
• Ornaments
• Magnets

This is just a sampling of what you can do!

Today, I am going to share with you two different Holiday Greeting Cards that I made using the newest version of the My Memories Software Suite, version 4, which was just released in the last couple of weeks.

The first card I created was a typical 4x8 photo greeting card that you might normally see at one of the online photo finishing retailers.

The great thing is, you no longer are limited to their designs, you can create your own using the My Memories Suite and your card will be unique and one of a kind!

I used elements from the "Holly Jolly Christmas" kit  from Shmooangel Designs to create this card.

You can get this "add-on" kit right now for 40% off...only $2.99 (reg. $4.99)!

(But you gotta hurry! The sale ends today!)

The second card I made is a 5x5 square card, which is becoming more popular for greeting cards these days.

For this card, I used some basic elements that came with the software in addition to some purchased kits.

The software comes with many elements included like: background papers, embellishments, word art and  frames and much more!

On their website they offer a TON of  free kits  in addition to the beautiful designer kits you can purchase (for a VERY reasonable price I might add!).

They have specials and sales running all the time and right now they have a 12 days of Christmas promotion going on.

Every day until the 12th there is a special promo code on their home page with a discount for you!

Check out their facebook page also, where there is always a lot of fun going on and additional freebies.

Okay, now for the good news!

My Memories has authorized me and the awesome ladies below to give away one free copy of the software to one of our lovely followers/readers!

My Memories Suite v4 and Christmas Layout

I have some exciting news!

Story Rock Inc. has just released a new version of their Scrapbooking Software: My Memories Suite v.4!

I made a 6-page Christmas layout using the new version and can't believe how quick it was!

I used a pre-made Designer Template called: "A Gift for You", that came with the software and just dropped in my photos and added my text.

It was so simple and turned out so nice!

I am forever behind on my "traditional" hard book scrapbooking, so having this software helps fill in the blanks and keeps me motivated to document my life and the lives of those that I love so dearly!

Hope you'll enjoy the layout and stay-tuned, because I will be reviewing more of this great software and showing you some additional fun things you can do with it soon!

In the meantime, if you would like to find out more or are interested in purchasing this awesome Scrapbooking Software, just click on the link below.

My Memories has authorized me to offer a $10.00 off discount, by using the code below!

What a great opportunity to get something GREAT for a GREAT price!

A Christmas Tradition

I am so excited about this Holiday Season!

Christmas is my favorite time of year, even though things usually get pretty hectic around here during this time.

Now that all our children are grown, I often think back to the happy memories and traditions of Christmases past with them and one of my most memorable traditions is collecting Nutcrackers with my Daughter "B".

How fitting that this week's "My Memories" challenge is about family traditions!

I couldn't wait to get in on this challenge, as just last Christmas, my precious Granddaughter "B" also became very interested in the story of the "Nutcracker" after seeing a Barbie Holiday Movie "Barbie in The Nutcracker"

I was excited to share this tradition with her and immediately got out all of the old Nutcrackers that me and her Aunt had collected when she was a child.

I snapped a few photos of precious little "B" playing with the Nutcrackers and hugging them like dolls!

I even bought her one of her very own Nutcracker's for Christmas, to get her started on her own collection.

Here is the layout I created for this challenge:

(Note: if you click on the layout, you can see a larger version)

I made it using the My Memories Suite (v.3) and it was so much fun and so easy!

I just love all the options it provides and how quickly a page can be completed.

I have SO many photos and just don't have enough time to do them all in the traditional scrapbooking method everytime.

It's nice to be able to do some "digital" scrapbooking as well and get some memories documented quickly, before the photos get put on the back burner and left behind.

As you can see, these photos are a year old and I hadn't yet gotten to them to scrap in a book.

Another great thing about the My Memories Suite is that you can have your pages/albums printed professionally, so that you can have them handy to show-off to others just as you would with your traditional paper scrapbook!

If you don't yet have this awesome Digital Scrapbooking Software, you can get it for $10.00 off by clicking on the blinkie below or on the ad in my sidebar and using the discount code that is below it.

It comes with lots of great templates, backgrounds, embellishments, etc. as well as options to add other digital content.

Their site contains lots of "freebies" too and other templates and quick pages that you can buy for a very reasonable price!

The options are limitless with this software and you can create other items too, like cards and calendars.

I do need to add a disclaimer here:
I was fortunate enough to have been given a copy of this software earlier in the year to review it for the company, but I can honestly tell you that I love it and would not promote it here if I did not think it was a wonderful product!
I am amazed at what it can do for such a reasonable price and it's much easier to use than the more complicated and expensive programs such as Photoshop.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my Nutcracker Tradition and looking at my layout!

So happy you stopped by and I'd love it if you'd like to leave a comment and let me know what you think!

XOXO
Lisa

Giveaway! Giveaway! First Digital Layout & Software Giveaway!

I am so excited today to share with you my first digital scrapbooking layout and a fun giveaway!

I have dabbled a bit in "digital" scrapbooking in the past, but could never seem to find suitable software that made it easy and yet look good.

Well, recently I was contacted by a wonderful company called "My Memories" who asked me to review their digital scrapbooking software and see how I liked it and I was really impressed!

Their software is rated #1 on Amazon for Digital Scrapbooking and it is so reasonably priced.

Here is the layout I did using their software and it took me less than 10 minutes to complete this album, which consisted of 6 pages:

This layout features my gorgeous Granddaughter "J" of course and I couldn't be happier with the results!

I used one of their included pre-made templates that came with the software and it was so simple with the "drag and drop" interface.

They have tons of templates and backgrounds to choose from, along with more you can buy or get for free on their website.

You also have the ability to start from scratch and customize your layout anyway you'd like.

You can even include music and videos into your layouts!

This software package does so much more than just scrapbook pages.
You can create calendars, posters, cards, invitations, personalized books and more!

I love that you can turn your album pages into a beautiful personalized book that can be ordered in multiple copies and shared with all your family and friends!

If you'd like to see more about this amazing software, check out their YouTube site at: http://www.youtube.com/user/MyMemoriesSuite
